Boy must Chivas USA feel stupid. Before the season, they traded their valuable Designated Player slot to the New York Red Bulls for Amado Guevara. After the turbulent 4-game experiment failed, they decided to try to trade him to Toronto for Paulo Nagamura (who appears to be a shadow of his 2005 self). Guevara nixed that one. Now, what is a DP slot worth? Nothing, it appears.
Then, ReAL Salt Lake fires Ellinger, installs him in some FO position. Jason Kreis (Superstar, he wears panties and he wears a bra) retires and is hired as coach.
Shavar Thomas is traded by my beloved Galaxy to the Goats. No big loss in my opinion. If we ever saw him play I may have a different opinion. It appears that the Galaxy is making space for a big name player to be introduced soon. Could it be Zidane? Other names surfacing are Carlos Bocanegra of relegation-threatened Fulham, Oguchi Oneywu who has not impressed at Newcastle, Jay Demerit of now Championship side Watford, some Chinese defender that was a trialist with the Galaxy, and Thomas Gravesen who was an off-season rumor. Personally, I think it will be Zidane.
Now, the Galaxian's beloved Carlos Ruiz appears to be headed out of Dallas. Word to the wise, don't sub out your "Captain" or don't appoint someone you plan to sub out of games your "Captain."

Some of these salaries are just ridiculous. You can't survive in LA on $12,900.00, much less $30,000.00. It is time to pay these guys like professionals, not part-time players.
Wow, what a busy week. I didn't think it could get any better after the Galaxy murdered the Goats on Saturday. I was wrong.
My Saturday league team won 3-1 against St. Pauli on Cinco de Mayo. This is our second win in a row, following a 7-1 win last week. Last week I played GK, but this week I was pressed into service up top as a striker in the 4-4-2. I scored the game's first goal on a great assist from Spider. About 5 minutes later a shared the wealth and assisted Chris aka Henry who took a great goal. Our last goal came on a great cross from Shaggy that I headed down toward the corner. The goalie made a great save, but the rebound was put away by Jesus.
